Bill and Susan Sokol-Blosser were truly pioneers when they began Sokol-Blosser winery and vineyards in 1971. From 1988 – 1996 they made Redland Pinot Noir; which was their top end Pinot Noir in those vintages. It’s a blend of their Dundee Hills and Highland Vineyard grapes. This spectacular combination produced rich, balanced wines quite worthy of aging. But nothing lasts forever and they are drinking remarkably well right now.

1996 was the last vintage of Redland (thereafter, the grapes went into their Reserve wine). Fortunately, we have a vertical tasting of their 1988 through 1994 vintages. These wines were made by then winemaker John Haw who is no longer with the winery.  We hope to have a current Sokol Blosser representative attend this event.
